CHRISTCHURCH, 29tii January. The provincial tennis championship was concluded on Saturday. For the whole tourney there had been unbroken sunshine and unusual heat, which all but the strongest players have found fatiguing. The finals resulted:— Men's Singles.—l. 'A. Seay beat C. Angas 6-3, 34,' 6-3. Women's ' Singles.—Miss Speirs beat Mrs. Beale,6-2, 6-0, Men's Doubles.—X. J. Walker anil C. Angag beat J. H. W. Sheppard, and B. B. Loughnan, .7-5, 6^. Women's Doubles.—Miss Speirs and Mrs. Fritchett beat .Misses Wake and Andrew, 3-6, 7-5,. 6-3; . Combined Doubles.—T. W. Patterson and Miss Speirs beat C. Angas and Miss E. Partridge, 1-5, 6-3. '
