EMPRESS THEATRE.
"The Missing Link," Syd. Chaplin's latest side-splitting comedy, has had such a successful run at the Empress Theatre this week that tho management has decided to run the comedy for a> further week. Chaplin takes a job as a hißsago carrier to Lord Dryden, who is on his way to Africa to hunt for the gruesome "Missing Link." Scared by a mischievous monkey ho hides on tho ship, and Dryden makes him act the part of the Link-hunter. What ludicrous and breath-taking adventures follow among jungle creatures can well be guessed by those who know Syd. There are head-hunting savages, a fiendish chimpangee, monkeys galore, lions, and in the midst is Syd., shaken by unholy fear, and the love of a young lady who believes him really to be what he knows he «an never be —a hunter of big game.
