PARAMOUNT THEATRE.
The popularity of the clever, bright dancing and acrobatic entertainment provided by the Royal Australian Sunbeams continues unabated, and there was a large attendance at the Paramount Theatre last night whon a number' of new features were Introduced in the performance of the talented youthful band. The costumes, decorations, and coloured lighting effects made the stage at times a beautiful coloured picture. Hearty applause greeted each turn of the happy band of children. Following the opening chorus, Jean White gave a graceful solo toe dance. The ballets included the "Radiant Ballet" (with Alice Johnson leading), "The Dance of Dolls," and "Butterflies and Roses," the latter being a specially pretty performance. In addition to a Topical Budget, a First National picture entitled "Lonesome Ladies" was shown—a domestic comedy-drama in high life, In which Lewis Stone Is co-featured with Anna Q. Nilsson, and included in the cast arc Jane Winton, Fritzie Ridgeway, Doris Lloyd, De Sacia Mooers, and Grace Carlisle. The settings are rich, and the dresses beautiful. The orchestra, in adrii"MorninG, Noon, and Night" (Suppe). contributes, as usual, excellent accompanying selections.
