The waiter was making out the bill for a customer. "Did you have ox-tail pr pea soup, sir? "I don't know," said the diner; "it tasted like soap to me." "Ah—that's it, sir," answered the waiter, writing hastily; "that would be the pea soup. The ox-tail tastes like paraffin."
