Tie loop, of string to akey, and handing it to. a-friend!1,, say-} "Can you take the string off the key without untying the knot?" After fumbling about wtih it fpr a bit, your friend will'probably decide that it is impossible. When ho has given up' take a pair of scissors and cut the string, ■and you then' point out that you haven't untied the knot.
