Pressure Is still high, and practically unchanged to the north and east, on the line from Norfolk Island across northern New Zealand to the Chatham Islands. Following the passage during Friday of a slight low pressure kave, there has been a moderate rise In the southern portions of the Dominion, but barometers still read lower there than In the North. Owing to tbfj high pressures to the eastward the wave' dlff not produce the usual change to southerly winds, northerly winds again prevailing. Further rain fell on the West Coast of the South Island as a result of the strong northwesterlies which blew as the wave passed.
