Dr. Ada '.• Patenon .^ later examined the child and found him to be bruised from head to foot. Woods had made a sUtement in which he admitted causing some of th« bruises as the child had been stealing things about the Bouse. "The mother i« r divorced from the father of the child and has been living with Woods for some ;,'. time," said the Sub-Inspector.
