FAIE AT FIRST
RAIN EXPECTED SOON Pressure changes have been slight in New Zealand, a farther rise having occurred in the north, and a slight fall in the south. The Bnti-cyclone to the east of the Dominion has moved northwards. Over south-east Australia, the disturbance which has been causing heavy rains there, moved east and south during yesterday, and this morning was centred east of Hobart, and was of considerable intensity. This disturbance will probably move east during the week-end and will bring rain, especially to the southern portions of the. Dominion. The winds have backed to N.E. and N., and were nowhere strong this morning. Some increase in cloudiness was recorded, and the skies had become Uazy, but otherwise fine weather had continued with warm temperatures. The forecast is for moderate easterly to northerly winds, north of Kawhia and Napier, and northerlies to northwesterlies elsewhere. The weather will be fair at first, but conditions ar expected to become increasingly cloudy and misty, with rain later, especially south of New Plymouth anfi Napier, with warm temperatures.
