FORCED LANDING
MISHAP AT SOCKBURN CAPTAIN FINDLAY AND CADET (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHUBCH, This Day. The stalling of an aeroplane engine caused a slight accident at the Sockburn Aerodrome this morning. Captain Findlay was flying in an Avro instructional machine, and his pupil was Cadet Jenkins. The engine failed and, a hedge looming up in front, it was necessary to make a forced landing to avoid a more serious accident. Captain Findlay sustained a slight cut over one eye. Jenkins was uninjured. The undercarriage of the machine was slightly damaged.
