TASMAN CROSSING
CAPTAIN MOODY'S PLANS SYDNEY, 20th January. Replying/to the contention by Captain Moody that the fitting of floats to an airplane designed to cross the Tasman was unnecessary, the Minister of Defence said that the Commonwealth Government's atitude towards these flights remained unchanged. The Government was emphatic that flights over water must not be undertaken to a distance greater than fifty miles unless seaplanes or amphibians were used.
