MR. W. D. LYSNAR'S HOME BURNT

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) GISBOBNE, This Day. The homestead at Arowhana Station, an eleven-roomed dwelling, owned by Mr. W. D. Lysnar, M.P., 40 miles from Gisborne, was destroyed by fire early this morning. Mr. Lysnar was roused from sleep and escaped hurriedly, and was able to save only a few personal effects.

Parishioners of Miramar Parochial District and friends of the family of the late Donald Francis Herbert Mackay, who was accidentally drowned in the harbour on Christmas Eve, are invited to attend a memorial service in St. George's Church, Scatoun, at 8 p.m. to-morrow.
