POSITION AT SAMOA

THE NELSON COMPANY (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, This Day. The Auckland office of the Nelson Company, Ltd., received the following radio message from Apia concerning the statements recently published reporting the salo of the business to Messrs. Lover Bros.: "The Nelson Company is negotiating with a London syndicate for a big South Sea combiue, with Mr. Nelson as managing director, conducting the business personally. All other reports are adverse propaganda." Messrs. Westbrook, Williams, and Meredith have been asked by the Administrator to meet the Mau Committee in Apia and submit to him in writing within one week what they propose to do to disperse the Mau. They have informed the Administrator that no efforts on their part are likely to be effective, but they will try as desired.
