AMERICAN PROPOSAL
OUTLAWING FAE WHY NOT SIGN AT ONCE? (A.P.A. and "Sun.") (Received 9th January, 10 a.m.) PABIS, Bth January. M. Briand's reply to Mr. Kellogg recalls M. Briand's previous proposal on the same subject, and adds that the French Government highly appreciates the favourable reception which the United States Government has accorded M. Briand's j proposal. It considers Mr. Kellogg's suggested procedure satisfactory, and that it would be advantageous to consecrate its character j forthwith by Trench and American I signature. "I am authorised to inform you," says tho Note, "that the French. Government is ready to co-operate with America in submitting for the approval of all nations an Act signed by Prance and America, wliereunder the contracting parties renounce aggressivo war and accept every pacific method. France and America would invite other States to adhere to it."
