The annual mutch between riii!;.s fnmi the ChristclitU'L'h and Wellington Bowling Clubs for the Bavnett Friendly Howl tuok place to-day 311 the Christcl'iuixh Club's green. The trophy, which is (■ailed Ihu ■"Krienilly Jiowl," is a bowl mounted mi a silver h'Land, and was won by .Mr. Burnett at t!ie Northern lion-ling Association's Kastcr tournament at Napier in 181)4. 'J'hu principal condition of the match is that the visiting team, whether it wins or not, shall take the trophy back with it. Before the match the visiting bowlers were the guests of the members of the Christchurch Club at luncheon in the club's pavilion.
