GILBERT AND SULLIVAN CO.
The final performance in Wellington of J. f!. Williamson's Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company was given on Saturday night in tho Grand Opera House, when "The Gondoliers" was played. A furoro of applause greeted the fall of the curtain, and bouquets were presented to all the lady principals of the company. A special presentation was made to Mr. Slapoffski the leader of the orchestra. In replying on behalf of the company, Mr. Slapoffskl said that tho present marked the fiftieth year with which he has been associated with Gilbert and Sullivan's works. Tho company will leave for the South to-night.
