THRILL OF HIS LIFE

KING ALBERT IN ALPS SKID ON A SLEIGH (United Press Association.—Copyright.) . (Sydney Sun Cable.) (Keocivod 7th January, noon.) LONDON, 6th January. The "Daily Mail's" St. Moritz correspondent says that King Albert of Belgium had the thrill of his life when a bob sleigh in which he was descending the St. Moritz ran at forty miles an hour, skiildrd and bumped badly at what is known as yiiainrock Corner, hurling out Lord Northesk, who was acting i»S' brakesman. Two of the party managed to wriggle backwards to a vacant seat, pulling Prince Albert by the seat of his trousers Until the balance of the sleigh was restored. At the end of tlio run King Albert inquired after Lord Northesk, who had injured his back. He added that it was the greatest thrill he had ever had— greater than the war, or even motoring. King Albert, who is the first reigning monarch to descend St. Moritz, received an abrasion on the elbow.
