LOCAL SALES DESIRED (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) GISBORNE, This Day. Wool production in the Gisbornc "district this year is estimated at close on 50,000 bales. Over 20,000 bales of Gisborne wool is sent each season to the Napier sales, and the motor transport cost is £10,000, which would be saved if the sales were,held here. Strong representations are about to be made to the' Now Zealand Wool Buyers' Association on the matter.
