The monthly meeting oE the Belmont Progressive Association Committee was held on Wednesday. Mr. C. T. Natusch was in the chair. Members of the executive were requested to look out for suitable sites for the proposed hall and kindergarten school. The Hutt County Council is to be requested to repair the footpath from Melling; reform tho watertable opposite north approach to Belmont railway, station; clear away grass and clean out water-tables on the path (short-cut) from north approach of railway station to and across the deviation road; and to form a path to Mr. Cowie's entrance. The committee received from Messrs. C. Tilliard Natusch and Sons the preliminary sketch plans for proposed bridge from Belmont to Taita. The chairman and members of committee agreed to canvass I the landowners for their support.
