WEEK-END RACES

The boisterous weather on Saturday afternoon did. not tempt many yaehtsmeu out on to the harbour, but the Evans Bay Yacht Club held a race for keelers and another for motor boats. The race for the smaller boats had to be postponed. In the keelers race the lolanthe, the Viola, and the Linnet started. The Wsirere intended starting, but did not get away from her moorings in time. The result of the race, with the handicaps and corrected times, was as follows:— lolanthe (24min), 6hr 16sec, Shr 36min 16sec i Linnet (30min), 6hr Bmin lOse'c) Slir 38min lOsec 2 Viola (scr), shr 44min Msec 3 The motor boat race resulted in a win for the Felix, with the Mascot second, and the' Swan third. The Isobel broke down soon after- the start.
