LYALL BAY GALA.
With a view to raising funds for the equipment of a children play area for the children of Wellington, a gala, under the auspices of the Lyall Bay Carnival, is to be held from 26th December to 3rd January. An attractive programme has been arranged. Competitions for children for which prizes will be given, will be one of the main features. In addition, there is to be a monster tug-of-war competition nightly. Particulars are advertised.
