SELECTING THE NAMES

(United Press Association.—Copyright. I (Received 16th December, 10 a.m.) CANBERRA, This Day. The Canberra National Memorial Committee has adopted a uniquo scheme of nomenclature for public places and streets in the capital city. Six avenues radiating from Capital Hill have been named after the capital cities of the States, while place and street names commemorate persons famous in Australian history as explorers, politicians, scientists, navigators, men of letters, and other activities.
