BUTTER AND CHEESE PRICES.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., has. received the following cablegram from London, dated 14 th December::—
Dairy Produce—Butter: N.Z., 15Ss to 162s per cwt (170s per cwt). Market bad. Cheese: 90s to 92s per cwt (94s to 95s per cwt. Market slow. Quotations nominah Lost-week's quotations' in parentheses Mr. W. H. Kent has received the following cabled advice from Messrs. A. J. Mills and Co., Ltd., London, under date 15th December: —"Butter: The butter market since last advices declined to 156s to 158s, but is.now steadier at 158s to 160 a. Demand is not sufficiently good to cause an advance in prices. Cheese: The cheese' market is slow; New Zealand white is' quoted at 91s to 925, New Zealand, colour-: ed at 90s to 91s, and Canadian matured at 100s to 1025."
