NEWTOWN SCHOOL
The <' breaking-up" of the Marisfc Brothers' School, Newtown, took place at the school on Wednesday. The report of the headmaster, the Rev. Brother Louis, covered a satisfactory year's work. Of the 63 pupils presented fo* the proficiency examinations, 53 secured certificates and 10 endorsed competency. certificates. Six hoys obtained day scholarships tenable at St. Patrick's College, and one gained a bursary. The prize list was as follows:— SPECIAL PRIZES.
