CYCLONE'S ACTIVITY
WEATHER OUTLOOK
. The cyclone to the east of the Dominion has moved very little only since yesterday, and two secondary waveß of low pressure have passed eastward and joined it following its formation on Tuesday morning. Until a day or two ago there had been continuous rainy weather for some time in Queensland and New South Wales, and the mon-' soonal air currents which were responsible for it appear to be maintaining the activity of the cyclone off the east coast of New Zealand, states the Director of the Meteorological Office. The continued southerly winds which have blown across New Zealand in the rear of this cyclone have lowered • the temperature considerably, until this morning conditions were positively wintry. Although the barometer remains high over the Tasman Sea and oasterii Australia, it seems reluctant to rise here. " \. '
The indications, therefore, are for a continuance of . moderate to strong south-westerly to southerly winds with cold, cloudy, and showery weather. The barometer should begin to rise shortly, however, and the weather should improve to-morrow.
