MUNICIPAL CONFERENCE

A meeting of the executive of the New Zealand Municipal Association was holtl in ,the Town Hall yesterday morning. There were present: Messrs. W. J. Moffatt (Mayor of Nelson), in the chair, G. A. Troup (Mayor of Wellington), W. J. Bodgers (Mayor of Wiuigahui), G. Donaldson (Mayor of Newmarket), A. Moore (chairman of the Johnsonville Town Board), P. Robertson (Mayor of Upper Hutt), G. J. "Wallace (Mayor of Timaru), and A. J. C. Euucinian (Mayor of Dannevirko)..

The order paper of the next Municipal Conference (to be held iv Nelson in March) was submitted and approved, and a number of remits which had been re«piveil recently by the secretary (Mr. T. F. Martin) were examined and dealt with. As regards later remits still a special meeting of t!io executive to be held before the conference will ,determine their fate.
