CARNIVAL AT MIRAMAR.
A grand carnival, the purpose of which Is to raise funds for the local band and school, was commenced at the Mlramar School grounds last evening. Last night there were only the foe-snows open, but this afternoon and evening the carnival will be in full swing. There are Innumerable popular attractions, Including f taJ8s enterprises and many other side-shows. In addition there will be a large variety of stalls. The carnival is to continue every evening and Saturday afternoons until 21st mm er« ,On Saturday afternoon next It will be officially opened by the Mayor (Mr. G. A. Troup), and the Minister of Education (the Hon. R. A. Wright.).
