HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE.
Written and produced by Gayle Wyer, a new revue, "Mixed Doubles," which was to bo presented at the matinee at His Majesty's Theatre to-day, la said to be particularly amusing. The humour is irresistible. Charles Norman, a comedlau of many: parts, who has become very popular, and Sam Ward, another favourite In the comedy line, are at their best. Tha piece is based on a simple event, which as tune goes on creates endless complications. All the members of the company are happily cast. Miss Kna Gordon plays the part of an old maid aunt; Miss Tar* Benson, Edward Thome's wife; Miss Heather Jones, as cousin to Edward, and Miss Els» Scott as the housekeeper; Billy Bovls acts the part of the family doctor; Ward Lear, jun., the butler; and Gayle Wyir,,,is a 'limb of the law" in the person of Bill Nallem. Preceding the revue a collection of vocal, dance, song scenas, and bright sketches, entitled "Band Box Brevities," is presented.
