"On Ze Boulevard," a Trench farce starrine Iteneo Adoree and Lew Cody, drew a good T B nL f ? e, SeDt last ulßht' S'°»es often end with the inheritance of a fortune just to make a happy ending possible, but Gaston the waiter, gets his million francs right at' the beginning of things, and but for the cleverness of his fiancee would quickly have lost them again and his charming Musette, as well Posing as a wealthy South American Don' Cun ardo, Gaston quickly leaves his restaurant life behind him. but not, alas, his waiter's habits which make him ridiculous wlnrever he coos' Adventurers, however, care net for manners where money abounds, and a count and his lady soon make plans to relieve the erstwhile waiter of wealth. But Musette has other plans aud carries them out so successfully that she wins back her Gaston with his money intact and together they start a cafe, and incidentally bring an entertaining'picture to a close. Preceding the main Him was "Overture to a French Comedy" (lieler Bela), well played by the Hegent Orclieslra. Tiiton and West, "The Joy Boys," were heartily received for their songs and patter, and deserved (he applause. The supports include a Felix the Cat cartoon, a Tathe news, comedy, and a New Zealand scenic of peculiar rock formations on the West Coast, with some delightful glimpses of true 7\e\v Zealand scenery.
Frederick William Wallace's famous sea story "Captain Salvation," coming in screen form to tho Regent on Friday next, graphically paints the perils of the sea. Such wide and sincere approbation as that which crowned this human document comes only once in a while. The powerful adventure galvanising a host of human souls on the decks of the convict ship—dominated by the dramatic redemption from the vilest of mankind, aud pitiful self-abnegation, of •Salvation" himself.
