Severe hail and a rain storm acfeompauied by a wind of hurricane force caused great damage to. vegetable crops at Mylnford on the Clarence Eiver. Crops of potatoes, maize, and lucerne suffered severely. Birds and fowls ■were killed by hail. Trees were blown •iloirn,-and farm: buildings unroofed.
