HUSBAND SHOT IN CAR
WIFE'S PLEA ON ARREST
SYDNEY, 14th October. Norman Hoey, a shearing contractor, was shot dead while sitting in his motor-car in a street in Inverell. His wife was later charged with his murder, and in a statement to the police said she had been living apart from him for three years, and,as Bhe did not receive justice in Court when she sued her husband for allegedly trying to run her down in his motor-car recently, she had shot him to protect herself.
