SYMOPSIS OF LAST 21 HOURS.
A shallow depression which yesterday was situated west of the South Island, has moved to a position off the East Coast. Cloudy, misty weather has prevailed, with rain in most parts of the Dominion, some heavy falls occurring during the night in both, the West and East Coast districts of the South Island. Moderate to strong northerly winds have backed to westerlies northward of Westport and Kaikoura, and easterly to southerly winds have ruled southwards.
