MURITAI TENNIS CLUB.

The Muritai Tennis Club's courts at Eastbourne were opened on Saturdaylast. < The patron, the Hon^ G. J. Anderson, declared the courts open for play. Mrs. Curtis hit the first ball over the net. The Mayor, Mr. H. M. Jones, was present, and, on behalf of the Eastbourne Borough, wished the club every success. Afternoon tea was provided by the ladies. An enjoyable afternoon was spent, and there is promise of a. very successful season.
