LODGE MEETINGS
Island Bay Lodge of Druids held its regular meeting,,in St. Hilda's Hall, A.]). Bro. Gr. H. Newsotf presiding over a good attendance. Accounts;"haying'been passed for payment and routine busmets disposed of ladies" were admitted and a social function was held in- honour of the 21bt anniversary of .the lodge. -An oichestr.i under the direction of Bro. Newson piovided the music. Mrs. C. 11. Boniface presented the lodge with ,i liirthday^ cake nicely decorated and studded "With twenty 'one candles. A vote bt-'thanks was <ic. corded to the donor. Grand Lodge w-a--represented by G. Treas. Bro. J. Laugh ton, who gave an interesting address, out lining the history of the lodge and tracing the progress niadc since its inception, also a few facts- and figures co'nceining the Order in general. I\D.l\ Bro. W. Mooney, M.C., presented-P.D.P. Bro. C. H. Boniface" to "th'e''Xsran<l Treasurer'as the only one of the twenty-six charter mem bers still actively associated with Island Bay Lodge. ' G. Trcas. Bfc(>,,Laughton, on behalf,''of .'•the* lodge,;- congratulated I3io. Boniface on> bis faitliful W6rk,' and! presented him with a large emblematical key which had been specially made for the occasion by Bj.o. M'Comigh., 810. Boniface thanited the" lriqmberjs 'for.their token of goodwill;} ant made refe'rence^to' the other members who had-joined"on the opening l night, some df ■whom, he said, were now^me'mbers o£ the-Supreme Giand Lodge. -.-iSreetings and best .wishes were received -ftom "soveraj lodges.
