(From "The Post*" Representative.) LONDON, 27th July.' Mr. Neil P. Angus, A.MJnst.C.E., of the engineering staff of the Auckland Harbour Board, has recently made a tour of the Southern.Counties and of the Severn Ports. He has now returned to London after a month's tour of the Continent. He, visited the principal ports of the North Sea ana North Mediterranean, where ho found almost universally programmes for extension •actively in hand. He is at present visiting the Midlands and Scotland, inspecting engineering industrial plants and _ visiting the principal ports, including Liverpool, Manchester, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Newcastle, Hull, and Goole. On 13th September he will sail for New Zealand via Suez. t The Bey. J. Milne will attend the Conference of Faith and Order at Lausanne at the beginning of August as one of New Zealand's representatives. He has booked his return passage by the OtrantOi leaving on 17th.September. During his stay in London Mr. 'Milne i has -ha(l the opportunity oil meeting many notable people, including tho Archbishop of Canterbury and tho Deai^ of St. Paul's, with each of whom he had very interesting conversations. At a quarterly- comittia held at the Royal College of Physicians yesterday, a number of candidates were admitted to membership, including Mr. C. A. Taylor, M.8., Otago. Licenses to practice were conferred upon 179 candidates, including 33 women. The one Now Zealander in this group was Mr. J. Fitzsiinons, M.8., Ch.B., Otago and Middlesex.- The Diploma in Ophthalmic Medicine and Surgery was conferred upon Mr. W. J. Robertson, M.8., Ch.B., New Zealand, and the Diploma, in Laryngology and Otology upon Mr. ,T. B. Baird, M.8., Ch.B., New Zealand.
