Y.M.C.A. FOOTBALL CLUB.
.The rooms of the.Y.M.CiA-. boys' divi^ sion ■ presented fln animated appearance on Saturday night,. on ' the. occasion of the wind-up, to the winter activities. One hundred and fifty were present at the banquet when the following toast list was pre'sent--ed:—"The King," "Our Visitors", .(the tourth and fifth division teams from Christchurch), proposed by Mr. H. Donkin, replied to by Mr. F. E. S. Lone; "The Wellington Football Association, proposed by Mr. A. Ward, replied to by Mr. W. B. Hicks. The following trophies were presented by Mr. W. B. Hicks, of the W.F.A.: -Mr. It., Mayer's gold medals, the V.M.C.A. senior team—first A division, champions for the 1927 season; the sth B division Championship and Challenge Cups, and Mr T. Famngton's medals to the V.M.C.A". li k le,? m; junior Scout Banner to the Anglican Home team, who won the imal against V.M.C.A. on Saturday afternoon by 3 goals to ,2.- Hal. Sissons, captain of the fifth B team, made a presentation to Mr. T. Famngton as a mark of appreciatiou of the great interest displayed in the coaching.of the team, during the season. A most enjoyable evening concluded with a haka by the Christchurch boys and thanks to the ladies for the splendid manner in which they had catered for all
