DEATH OF MRS. J. M'ILVENEY.

The death- occurred at Auckland on Friday of Mrs. J. M'Jlveney, -wife o* Pohee-Inspeotor James" M'llveneyy of Auckland, who is a brother of PoliceCommissioner "W. "B. M'Uveney, of Wellington. Mrs. M'Bveney had been, ailing for many years, and was an invalid during the last, five months, states the "New Zealand Herald." She went to Auckland from'Wanganui when Inspector M'llveney was transferred in February of last year. Her relatives lived for many years on. the West Coast of .the South Island.- -A sister Tesides at Devonport, and another is stewardess of the steamer Tofua.
