Sir, —Slay 1 reply very briefly to Canon Wilford's last letter. ,My statement that Canon Wilford and his friends misunderstand the scope and purpose of the Religious Exercises Bill is amply proved by the opinion of some unnamed Anglican education society quoted by Canon Wilford. To describe the Bill as "a renunciation of full faith in Jesus Christ, our Most Holy Redeemer," is sheer nonsense.- As regards the resolution passed by General Synod, let me say this: The resolution was carried unanimously, and the Religious Exercises Bill was the outcome. —I am, etc.,
