Following a fire at tho Ngongotaha Post Office last weok,'when it was alleged that tho postmaster was assaulted and the money destroyed, it was reported to the police that tho postmaster, named Heerdegcn, had disappoarod. Heerdegon's car was found bogged on tho Taupo road, and tho owner was later found in a state of collapso, and taken to the King George V. Hospital. Tho police aro now making further investigations.
