"URGENT PUBLIC BUSINESS"

In the House of Eepresentatives this afternoon leave of absence was asked for several members on account of "urgent public business.'' The members were Messrs. Veitch, Fraser, Jordan, and Potter, and in each caso the date of the expiry of the leave extended over next Thursday. The House readily complied with the resquests, but not without the accompaniment of loud bursts of laughter. The four members mentioned are taking part in the Raglan campaign.
