A SALESMAN'S CLAIM

The ease in which W. Hopper, of Auckland, claimed £171 damages from W. A. Arnold, Ltd., tire merchants, "Wellington, for wrongful dismissal, was concluded before Mr. Justice Ostler in the Supreme Court to-day. His Honour said that as far as the facts were concerned, there was no need to reserve hig decision. He was satisfied that the contract was wrongfully determined. The defendant had utterly failed to prove incompetence, as had been alleged. The only other question was as to the amount of damagos, and on this he proposed to reserve his decision in order to consider the points raised by Mr. Parry. His Honour said he thought also that the counter-claim made by tho company for £49 would have to fail. Mr. W. Perry; appeared for the plaintiff.
