A letter, received at last night's meeting of the Eastbourne Borough Council from the Wellington Returned Soldiers' Association stated that it was understood that a sum of money would shortly be made available from the Canteen Fund to provido work for unemployed returned soldiers. Ifc "was proposed to allocate £25 to tho council, and the council was* asked to grant a subsidy of £1 10s to £1. The matter was referred to the Works .Committee, for consideration.
