PRICE OF COAL

_ It is likely that more will be heard in Parliament regarding the increase in the price of coal to which attention has been drawn by Mr. P. Fraser (Wellington Central). The Acting-Minister of Industries and Commerce (the Hon. J. A. Young) made a statement on the matter in the House of Eopresontatives yesterday, in which he said that the Wellington coal dealers wero meeting the position fairly in the increases they -were making, but it is stated that further inquiries may bo made as to whether any increase is justified just now.
