Cost of chartering cable steamer Ins to effect repairs to the Cook Strait cable, £7020. Towards travelling expenses of Secretary of Treasury while visiting Great Britain on official business, £750. Expenses in connection with townplanning legislation, £544. Grant towards enabling old miners to attend Buller Diamond Jubilee, £100.
