PERSONAL MATTERS
Mr. T. M. Wilfora, M.P., who has been on a visit to Wanganui, will return to Wellington to-night. The Hon. D. Buddo, M.P., was among the passengers by the Maori from the South to-day. Messrs. D. Jones and E. J. Howard, M.P.'s, arrived from the South by the Maori to-day. The Commissioner of Po'licc (Mr. W. B. M'llveney) has returned from the South. Mr. L. Seifert (Palmerston North) arrived this morning by the Marama from Sydney. Mr. K. •'W, Gibbs, acting-chairman of the Bank of New Zealand, was a passenger from Australia by the Marama to-day. Mr. Percy G. Keid, who has been chief artist t.' J. Ilott, Ltd., Christchurch, for somo years, has taken up an appoinlaient wi.j the Charles. Haines Advertising Agency, Ltd.,. at their head office F-udio- in Wellington. Mr. Sinclair Carruthers lias been appointed manager of the Gordon and Gotch Advertising Department in New Zeak?id, having been transferred from Auckland; where he was manager of the department at that branch. Mr. CO, Jorgensen, secretary of the Mew Zealand Masseurs' Association, who has.been attending a meeting of the executive of the association in Uinstehurch, returned to Wellington this morning. The Rev. L. A. Barnes, 8.A., has been appointed curate of the parish of St. Mark's, Wellington. Mr. Barnes, who besides being a Bachelor of Arts holds the Diploma of Licentiate in Theology of the New Zealand Board of Theological Studies, was ordained in 1926, and has since been serving at Hawera. He is to be married in January, and will begin work in Wellington on Ist February.
