SPRING WEATHER

SUNSHINE AT LAST

After a week of very unpleasant weather, the bright sunshine to-day is most welcome. The barometer has riser slightly in the North, but generally there has been little change in pressure over New Zealand since yesterday. Southerly breezes have given place to westerlies and northerlies, and except for some fogginess -'in the far north, and cloudy skies in the southernmost districts, fair weather was in evidence in most parts this morning. The forecast is for fair weather with hazy and cloudy conditions increasing generally. Eain may be expected in the western and soxithern districts The barometer is due to fall, and northerly winds are likely to freshen and back to westerlies.
