VICTORIAN ATTITUDE

At the meeting of the Victoria Racing Club the chairman indicated that the club would support the introduction of the totalisator in Victoria if bookmakers were allowed to operate, as in Sydney. He also stated that the committee, while sympathising with trainers who had difficulty ■ in, securing boys who could ride at the present minimum, would not favour a proposal to increase the minimum of 7.0, as it would operate against the best horses. •
