TOO MUCH TIME TAKEN UP

DUNEDIN, This Day. At the animal meeting of the Dunedin ■Bowling Centre a motion was carried that it be a, recommendation to the Dominion Howling Association that the time occupied in the annual association tournament be shortened as far as possible. With that end in view this centre susgests that the preliminary or qualifying stages of the competition, where all the competitors arc taking part, should remain as interesting as possible, having regard to the time available, but that the secondary stages should be completed in the quickest possible manner.

There was a chance that in order to save time cne competition, possibly the singles, would bo cut out (iltopether. lie agreed that the tournament should be shortened, otherwise by reason of its being top heavy it would I all to the ground.
