DE LUXE THEATRE.
Tin Hats, now showing at tho De Luxe Iheatre is an hilarious story of "Doughboys" at the front who arrive too late to take part In the actual fighting as tho Armistice has been signed. They are greatly disappointed at this, and drown their sorrows In a nearby estaminet, where they go to sleep. When they wake up, they find that tho Allies have departed, so on stolen bicycles they go in search of their company, and before they know where they are they have entered German territory. Their adventures In the Fatherland are ludicrously amusing, Conrad Nagel, Bm. Roach, and Tom O'Brien do some capital acting as "The Three Musquetcers," while Claire Windsor makes a sweet and winning German baroness. There aro excellent supporting pictures. The - musical side of' the programme includes "O Star of Eve, by Wagner, and "Sometime" on the Wurlitzer organ, Mr. Aarons being the instrumentalist, and a novelty entr'acte by tho orchestra, "Stars and Stripes," and selections from "11 Trovatore."
Ramon^ Novarro aud Alice Terry appear in Lovers," a photoplay based on the stage success, "The World and His Wife," by Douglas lurber and Sylvia Thalberg. Tho picture commences screening at the Do Luxe Theatre on Friday next, with a matinee on Saturday afternoon at 2.30. The story tells how scandal brings dishonour and tragedy to three people. Laid in the romantic settings of modern hpam, it is filled with tho gaiety of life in a bpanish city, and tells the story of a family whose lives are wrecked and all happiness destroyed by the hidden enemy. A sword duel between Novarro and John Milgan makes one of the greatest climaxes ever aimed. Tho supporting programme will include a sparkling comedy, a cartoon, a scenic, and latest gazette, whilst Mr. Emanuel Aarons will be heard in fresh numbers on the Wurlitzer. Special music will also be- played by the Orchestra De Luxe. The box plans are now open at the Bristol liano Co., Altken's Book Arcade, or seats may be reserved by telephone.
