PAEEMATA BOATING CLUB

The third annual reunion and presentation of prizes of the Paremata Boating Uub took place in the Coronation Hall at I aremata during the week-end. The proceedings took the form of a social and dance, a complimentary welcome being extended to all lady supporters as a slight return for their efforts on the club's behalf during the past season. Mr. F. Brady, club patron, congratulated the committee and the handicappers of both sailing and motor-boats (Mr. A. Shearer and Mr. Whiteman) on their eftorts. The following is a list of the trophies donated and the winners:—Motor boats, Messrs. Clark and Morton's Trixie was successful in taking the Brady Shield (20 points), Moorhouse Cup (10 points), and a trophy by Miss France. Mr. Sterling s Tin accounted for the Moki trophy -?A, and Mr- p >'ci'oft's Betsy secured Mr. Wlnteman's trophy, while the Trevor Cup (ocean race) was won by Mr. M'Phersons Miss Paremata. The Hausford Cup v/eV t ,to } 1t- A- Shearer's Robert E. Lee and the Moki gained trophies by Mr. A Barber and Mrs. Sterling. Sailing Boats (first class): Mr. A. Sterling's Cooee won the Brady Shield (40 points), and secured trophies by Mr. A. Smith, Mr. Whiteman, and the Moki trophy No. 2. Mr. Revell's •^\<? ccounted for the Handsford Cup with ISI points and also trophies from Mr Dutch, Mrs.Whiterod, "Well-wishers," and the Moki trophy No. 3. Mr. Prance's Kotukuwon trophies from the club and Mr B. Fisk Second class: The Moorhouse «Ul?f J. 40 A p°,lnts) was taken hy Mr. A. Smith's. Anhiw. ami also trophies from Mrs Ginders, "Well-wisher," and a club trophy IWPukimui (Mr. Hai-graves) also took a club trophy and Mr. Tutscha's Blue Bird received Mr. V. B. Wright's trophy. j.j le BuekJand rose bowl for boys' pulling races, was won by Masters J. Parkins, who also received a trophy by Air Quirk. The runner-up was Ray Bolland, who.gamed Mr. Sterling's trophy. Music was supplied by Tutsohka's orchestra and supper was served by the ladies, who did much to make the evening most successful.
