TEN THOUSAND DROWNED

■ SHANGHAI, 29th July. Ten thousand natives were drowned £tid crop losses are conservatively estimated at five million dollars, caused through tho floods at Chang Chow-fu in the Pukien Province. Chang Chowfuiß situated in a valley in a mountainous district, and following sovoral weeks' rain the accumulated waters burst with terrific force and thundered down the mountain-side, inundating several villages. . % ,Mr. Eiley, o£ the "London Times," v still missing.
